Articulation agreements
define high school, college collaboration
- Articulation is the formal
collaborative process between high school and college. Two or more
educational institutions build programs to deliver essential workplace
skills and ensure that students and curriculum flow in a
seamless pathway from high school
to college.
- Students know in advance their
college program requirements and special conditions
- Students do not repeat competencies
in college that they have already mastered in high school
- Program gaps are eliminated and
processes are streamlined
- Students have more opportunities to
learn higher level skills in their college program
- Students can save time and money
-
Articulation agreements specify pathway component
- Entrance requirements and program
standards at both high school and college
- Standards for advanced placement,
college credit and course by-pass
- Pathway continuation options
- Articulation agreements for each
pathway are periodically reviewed and updated. Copies are available
for review in the West Central Ohio Tech Prep Consortium.
